six mouths & lizard flags

Welcome back everyone! We had a short week this week leading into a four-day weekend celebrating Presidents Day, therefore, double time off consisted of some late nights and some early mornings.

Below you can see we used these four days to our full advantage! We went all the way up to Lizards Mouth in the mountains to see there sky burst into colors as we hiked up to a point where we all sat around and watched the colors change. As we headed down, the sky started to turn as nighttime approached. We headed into our cars to make our way back down to the city, later that night we went to a friends house. The next day, we woke up early to head down to Magic Mountain for a day at the park, we spent the majority of the day down there, headed back as our bodies were at low we were still excited because the night was still young. We ended up getting ready as soon as we got home to go meet up with some friends for yet another fun night.

The best days are the ones that aren’t planned, basically this entire weekend, each day and night we just kind of let our minds take us wherever we felt like. I haven’t been up to Lizard’s Mouth since I was a little girl and me and my family would go on family hikes. The good thing about going with friends is you don’t have to be nagged on about putting on sunscreen every ten minutes…

Anyways, the only part of our weekend that was semi-planned was going to Six Flags, even that plan got shaking at times some bumps hit us along the way. We managed to still have a great time all throughout the four days. Presidents weekend treated us well and it will be missed.

After gee I don’t know… TANKS and TANKS of gas, driving just to drive, no destination, we went down to Mesa Lane for an extended beach day and then up to the mountains up San Marcos Pass for sunset. I think it’s fair to say we all enjoyed our time together this weekend and can’t wait for more to come!
