This weekend brought a game changer into my life. That would be my new car I received on Friday, this past weekend me and my friends went on outings throughout Santa Barbara, the weather has been pretty decent lately. To start off, the mornings crisp although still sunny then later into the day the sun comes out and brings the heat. Me and my friends have been driving pretty much everywhere, then getting out and traveling on foot in places like you can see throughout this post.

These past couple days have really been making my mind race in new ways. Do you ever have those moments when you step back and just wonder when life started moving so fast, being a little kid and seeing your older sibling driving or even your parents. You thought they were just superheroes with powers that knew how to drive! Now that the perspective is in my own eyes and I’m now the superhero it has me thinking about how life goes on and things are always changing. Just like this field in the hills of Montecito, this is actually a road in my neighborhood, you see dashing colors and all shapes and sizes of flowers here, don’t you. Little do you know, this beautiful graze of flowers was where a house use to lie because it got swiped away by the Mudslides in the aftermath from the Thomas Fire. Now I see the way my little brother watches me drive as if I have this crazy skill, just the way I used to watch my big brother and sit there in absolute awe.

Anyways, on another note yes driving has been basically a dream come true, especially since it’s my own car, no more trading off using mom and dad’s cars. Right now is also the time of the year where most sophomores get their license’s and then their cars to follow. This is a major time in a high schooler’s life, then again a game changer for not only me but the majority of my class and peers. This weekend was twice as eventful with the addition of me having my car, and this is only leading into more fun times to come.
